This Sunday (1/20), our new magazine, Mars Hill Quarterly, debuts at all of our campuses. The purpose of the magazine is twofold:

1. As we the pastors guide our church through life, change, and growth, MHQ will be a place for us to communicate what's going on from a big picture perspective (similar to the purpose of this blog).
2. In an effort to encourage, challenge, and remind all who believe--and love those who don't--every issue will strive to present the heart of Mars Hill: Jesus and His Gospel. As Bonhoeffer is quoted in one of the first articles, "The Christian needs another Christian who speaks God's Word to him. He needs him again and again when he becomes uncertain and discouraged, for by himself he cannot help himself" (Life Together).

The quarterly magazine is written especially for our immediate church community as a source of information and a communal experience for a geographically disparate congregation; it will not be available online, but certain articles from the magazine may appear on this blog. If you attend Mars Hill, I encourage you to pick up a copy of the new magazine. It'll be passed out this Sunday and available throughout the winter quarter.
