For the past few months, the Pastors' Prayers blog has provided a glimpse into the lives and work of Mars Hill pastors in the form of prayer requests. Now that we've started Mission and Vision, which presents a broader spectrum of communication from the elders, Pastors' Prayers will be joined with our efforts here on this blog. With this latest arrangement, the contributors to Mission and Vision will continue to post pastors' prayer requests from time to time--but even if a post is not specifically categorized as a "prayer request," all of posts on the new blog will include information to help guide the prayers of those who intercede for our church and its leaders. For example, Pastor Scott recently posted about the upcoming Acts 29 boot camp in Chicago-you could pray for safe travels, protection, and wisdom as some of our pastors head out to assess and train potential church leaders from around the nation. Another example: in his description of the nature and process of change, Pastor Tim included a specific request: "Please pray for your pastors as we learn how to shepherd the disciples at Mars Hill Church through the constant change that comes with service to our unchanging Lord." For the Pastors' Prayers readers joining The Mission and Vision, welcome. To all who pray for us, thank you for faithfully serving us in this vital way.
