Resources for the Church
At Mars Hill, we hope to be a church that uses the gifts Jesus has given us (teaching, musical talent, technology, etc.) to serve and bless the greater church. Here are some new and upcoming resources we’re pleased to share with you.
Vintage Jesus
Pastor Mark Driscoll’s new book, Vintage Jesus, is now on sale. As Pastor Mark prepares a sermon series, he works above and beyond his responsibilities as a preacher and pastor to compile his research into book form (Vintage Jesus was a series he taught at Mars Hill in fall 2006). This material provides a great, lasting resource for the church at large, and helps us remain theologically faithful and united as a congregation. Future titles will serve a similar purpose by explaining important concepts such as doctrine, the church, Jesus’ death on the cross, the Bible, and more.
Historically, Pastor Mark would write this kind of material and we’d publish it ourselves. Now, thanks to Crossway, Mars Hill is able to leave the production to the professionals—which means we don’t have to pay for the printing and assembly of all these materials. What’s more, all proceeds from Pastor Mark’s books sold in Mars Hill bookstores are reinvested into Mars Hill ministries. Royalties on global book sales are split between the authors and Mars Hill, again to fund Mars Hill ministries.
We are extremely grateful to the service that Crossway provides, and the hard work of our own Pastor Mark and his writing partner, Dr. Gerry Breshears, who continue to provide invaluable resources for the edification of our church family and beyond.

Text and Context content
The Text and Context conference was a great success and a humbling demonstration of God’s grace. The energy flowed—literally, through satellite technology—to our multiple campuses as hundreds more gather to watch the evening sessions presented by Pastor John Piper. All of the content from last week’s memorable event will soon be available at theresurgence.com.
Books, music, conferences, technology—why do we do all of this? To glorify God with the gifts He has given us, and so that more people will hear the truth about Jesus. May many hear and understand, as we celebrate His faithfulness together.
