Mars Hill Church celebrates its anniversary on the first Sunday in October. In 1996, we began with twelve people meeting in Pastor Mark and Grace Driscoll's rental house. Twelve years later we’re still a growing congregation, now of almost 8,000. Only by God’s miraculous grace does 12 x 12 = 8,000. And Jesus is changing each of those lives—one person at a time and altogether at once, as the active and loving God that he is. The plan for next year, Lord willing: more growth, more expansion, so that more lives can be changed. God has entrusted us with much, and in order to steward it well we must walk faithfully on mission with Jesus. Perseverance, Mars Hill. After twelve amazing years, a lifetime is still ahead, and even more after that.
