Notes, thoughts, and highlights from yesterday's Mars Hill Church services (via twitter). The sermon was titled Suffering to Bless: 1 Peter 3:8–17. @jgschaeffer: Don't make light of suffering. On other hand don't exalt suffering higher than it is. Some use past suffering as an excuse for sin. #MHC @Aadom: People want to see how Christianity works. That only happens in community. #mhc @vbportraits: Suffering makes the gospel credible. When people say & do evil against you, respond w/ good. That takes a miracle. #mhc @vbportraits: We need to be a people that love all of the churches that love Jesus.
