Worship: Taking It With You
Music has always been an important part of the life of Mars Hill Church. When we gather on Sunday’s at campuses all around the country we come with countless different stories and experiences. However, as we raise our voices together in worship of our Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit, our many stories are unified in one voice of praise and celebration. When we gather as the church we experience the presence of God in a unique way as we sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs from thankful hearts (Col 3:16).
I also want you to be able to take the music of Mars Hill with you as we scatter as worshippers in all the stuff of life. Songs of praise are not just for Sunday but should be a part of all lives marked by the grace of God. Whether in your car during a brutal commute, riding the hamster machines at the gym, or teaching your kids what it means to sing to Jesus, we want to make Mars Hill music available as a way to respond to God. We do that in three main ways.
Three Ways To Get Mars Hill Music
First, you can check out the
Mars Hill media library. We offer live recordings as mp3‘s from across Mars Hill Church and you can search by song title or look for specific bands. We are uploading new content every week and have recently added a number of new bands to catalog from West Seattle, Shoreline, Downtown, Ballard and Olympia. Best of all it’s all free.
Second, you can also subscribe to our "all mars hill music"
podcast feed. This podcast delivers all the music we offer from the media library right to your podcast client the moment we upload it.
Last, you can also check out
Re:Sound, the musical end of
The Resurgence, where we offer higher quality studio albums. Our first Re:Sound release is Mars Hill’s "Rain City Hymnal", a fresh approach to 12 ancient hymns from 5 Mars Hill bands. If you haven’t picked up your CD copy of this record we would love to have you check it out on Amazon mp3 and see what we’re up to at Re:Sound.
On behalf of all the Mars Hill bands it’s a privilege to lead and serve you. Let me know what you think of the music and if there’s is anything else you would like to hear. You can find me on
Facebook or
Twitter.
