Though we are many campuses Mars Hill Church is one body on mission: on a mission to serve Jesus, love our cities, and raise up leaders. This week is huge for us because we get to see those things come together as we launch the Albuquerque and Federal Way campuses as well as the new service in the U-District.

Multi-Campus Church, Multi-Campus Prayer

Three of our men - pastors Dave Bruskas, Samuel Choi, and Matt Jensen - their families, and their people need our prayer this week. Admittedly, prayer is something we can do a lot more of at Mars Hill so here is good reason to spend more time talking to Jesus this week. Whether you're in Ballard, Bellevue, Shoreline, Downtown, Lake City, Olympia, or West Seattle, please pray for our brothers and sisters at these new campuses. We have an enemy; an enemy who looks to destroy and devour as the ground war of the Kingdom advances. Robert Murray M'Cheyne said, "If I could hear Christ praying for me in the next room, I would not fear a million enemies." The good news is that we have the Spirit who gives us words when we have no idea what to say (Rom 8:26) and the Son who prays, mediates, and advocates for us to the Father (Luke 22:32, Romans 8:34, Hebrews 7:25) who sent them both to us. We will be running a series this week covering prayer points from each campus. Here is a letter from Pastor Dave Bruskas, Campus Pastor in Albuquerque. Please take a few minutes to pray through the points for them.

Big Plans with Bigger Prayers

We launch the Mars Hill Church Albuquerque this Sunday with hopes of reaching a city (Albuquerque) to influence a region (Southwest U.S.) to impact the world (Latin America). Take a minute and review John 15:1-11 and then join us in praying for the following requests:
  • Our campus would be "all about Jesus". Nothing of value will happen apart from Him. (John 15:5). We must individually and as a community abide in Him;
  • Our campus would be fruitful in multiplying (John 15:7-8) . We are accepting  Jesus’ invitation to "ask whatever you wish". Our prayer is for Jesus to raise up 7,000 men, women, youth and children living on mission with Him in our region. We are asking Him to build 5 Mars Hill campuses, plant 25 Acts 29 churches and unite us with existing churches in gospel partnership; and,
  • Our campus would be characterized by God’s glory and Jesus’ joy (John 15:8,11). Our city is a beautiful with a unique ethnic diversity. Our city is very broken. Despair and anger are visible everywhere. Please pray that Mars Hill Albuquerque would be a "city on a hill" where the glory of God is expressed through transformed and reconciled lives and that Albuquerque would never be the same as Jesus is worshipped.
