The Generous Campaign is an opportunity for all Mars Hill campuses to raise awareness and funds for critical projects. These projects range from uber-practical (
Ballard needs a new HVAC system) to the obvious (
Shoreline needs a new building and has for a few years now).
Here are a few more examples of what the campuses are trying to accomplish during the Generous Campaign:
Albuquerque: Future Campuses
Mars Hill Albuquerque has big plans for the Southwest—and even Central America (we’re presently working on adding Spanish subtitles to our sermon videos). In order to jumpstart the effort, the campus is hoping to raise $100,000 for upcoming expansion.
Bellevue: A New Building
Parking is a pain. Kids’ space is full. The coffee table is inside the sanctuary. The "foyer" is about the size of large restroom. Yet Mars Hill Bellevue is one of our fastest-growing campuses. In order to better serve Seattle’s Eastside as a regional hub, the campus’ goal is to raise $300,000 to be able to move into a new building when God presents the right opportunity.
Ballard: "The Lazarus Project"
A number of crucial pieces of our flagship campus are dead, dying, or "stinketh" (Luke 11:39, KJV). Both the HVAC and the projectors need resurrecting, and if the campus can take care of these mundane-yet-essential components, they also hope to raise enough money to update the Children’s Ministry area and install a permanent baptismal—dozens of spontaneous baptisms have already taken place in
Ballard this fall. Total goal: $370,000-plus.
In addition, each campus has identified a local mercy partner or project that will receive 10 percent of everything given to the Campus Fund during the Generous Campaign. Keep reading the Mars Hill Weekly—we’ll profile some of these mercy partners during the Generous Campaign.
