During the
Generous Campaign, 10 percent of what you contribute to your Campus Fund will be given to a designated mercy partner or local need. Your above and beyond giving will not only help continue our vision of making more disciples, planting more churches, and training more leaders; but it will also help support worthwhile ministries such as:
The Elizabeth Gregory Home
Mars Hill Ballard’s mercy partner provides transitional housing for homeless women. Women can stay at the
Elizabeth Gregory Home for up to two years. It’s a safe place for where women can recover from the toll of living on the streets, continue recovery from drug and alcohol abuse, and receive support as they work towards breaking the cycle of homelessness.
Federal Way Multi-Service Center
Mars Hill Federal Way is partnering with an organization that provides education and employment assistance, and operates a food and clothing bank. This unique center offers tutoring for adults in ESL and GED instruction and family literacy services for homeless families.
The Multi-Service Center also provides job skills training and job search assistance. The food and clothing bank helps individuals and families who lack basic necessities.
North Helpline
Mars Hill Lake City works with
North Helpline to help prevent homelessness and hunger by providing food, baby supplies, eviction prevention, and utility shut-off prevention for struggling families.
North Helpline started in 1989 when a few community members noticed that many of their neighbors couldn’t pay rent or utility bills, or put food on the table. The organization is now made up of over 600 volunteers who provide critical human services to over 1,000 clients a week in order to reduce the impact of hunger and poverty in North Seattle.
Vision House
Mars Hill Shoreline’s mercy partner,
Vision House, provides transitional housing to homeless single mothers and their children, as well as to homeless single men recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Single mothers and their children are given safe housing in their own units where they are free from violence and receive support from the community as they move towards being self-sufficient. Homeless men are given group housing that provides a stable environment for those recovering from drug and alcohol abuse. All Vision House residents receive life skills classes, treatment plans, mentoring, educational assistance, and counseling.
At Mars Hill we applaud the efforts of organizations working towards the betterment of the city, and we want to come alongside them through financial support and volunteer efforts. If you would like to contribute to these efforts,
please give during the Generous Campaign or coordinate with your community group to serve at one of these crucial service organizations.
