Generosity Is an Evidence That Someone Is a Christian
"For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means…"–2 Corinthians 8:3
Our generosity (or lack thereof) is one indicator of whether or not our hearts truly belong to Jesus. In 2 Corinthians 9, the Apostle Paul describes giving as an act "flowing from your confession of the gospel of Christ."
In this clip, Pastor Mark explains that we call people to give, not because we want something from them but because we want something for them: a change of heart to worship Jesus rather than money (Matt 6:19–21).
