A Word to Parents

Good Friday services will feature a 30-minute original film created by our Media & Communications department. It tells the story of Jesus’ last hours before his death and burial, which means there are some scenes of graphic, bloody violence. As Pastor Mark wrote on the Mars Hill Blog, "If you have young children, the intensity of the content is likely too much for them to bear, so prayerfully consider whether your children under age ten should be checked into children’s ministry." Easter services at many of our campuses will be "family style," which means all ages are welcome and a little bit of chaos is expected. The sermon will be shorter than usual, and we love kids at Mars Hill so expect to have some fun.

A Global Event

We’ll be streaming Good Friday and Easter services online, and we’re praying that 75,000 people will participate worldwide to hear the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection. The Good Friday film will play today at 8pm local time for audiences in Sydney, London, New York, and Chicago. Easter will be live from Ballard at 8:30am; 10am; 11:30am; and 5pm Seattle time (Pacific). Tune in and you’ll see the sermon, live music, and hundreds of baptisms. Visit marshillchurch.org/live to watch Good Friday and Easter services and spread the word on Facebook, Buzz, or Twitter. Hope you can join us in person or online this weekend as we remember the death and resurrection of God. It’s all about Jesus.
