Amy Furlan Benefit in Photos
Few things in life are better than getting to rock '80s duds for charity, that's what we always say. (Few things apart from Jesus, anyhow.)
On Friday night, the Ballard campus held an '80s benefit concert for Amy Furlan. Not only that, but it starred her husband, Joey, and his band, The 80 Somethings–you guessed it–an '80s cover band. A good time was had by all, as evidenced by this photo series.

(Thanks to our volunteer, Karen, for the pics, many more of which are after the jump. Two of them feature pleather.)

It's a short list of men who can legitimately pull off pleather pants.
It's an even shorter list of those who met their future wife while wearing pleather pants.
Joey Furlan is one of those men.
If hair were a spiritual gift, this girl would have it.
The Furlans hopped on a plane the next morning for Switzerland, where Amy will undergo her seventh brain surgery.
You all raised over $21,000 at the benefit concert on Friday night for Amy Furlan. THANK YOU! We've still got a ways go to til we cover the current bills of $43,000, but we're on our way.
Thanks to all who put on the concert, all who attended, all who supported who couldn't come, and to the Furlans for letting us share in this trial with them and being examples of faithfulness in the midst of it. Let's keep up the support, and let's keep up the prayer.
