In this clip, Pastor Mark takes a few minutes to sit down with Dr. Andrew Jackson, one of the foremost authorities on biblical history in the country of Turkey. With over 200 visits in his lifetime to Turkey, Dr. Jackson has plenty to say about the biblical history, the church (past and present), and the cultural context of this immensely important historical region. In this first part of the interview, Dr. Jackson talks about the history and significance of the great city of Ephesus. Stay tuned in coming weeks for the second half to this interview. In July 2011, Pastor Mark will lead a group of Christians and pastors from all over the world on the Turkey Expedition, teaching at various important sites in the early Church’s history. Out of this, Pastor Mark will write a book and, along with other MH pastors, will develop a full preaching and group discussion curriculum on the book of Ephesians, which we’ll go through with churches from across the globe beginning in 2012.
