Mars Hill Likes “Money”
This week Pastor Jamie’s new book, Money: God or Gift, was released on Amazon.com. We gave it out for free at Mars Hill Church campuses, and here's some of the response so far:
Thank you for taking the time to be a blessing and put this book together…I see a lot of areas in my life where I need to repent and also have a lot of hope pertaining to growing as a steward of God’s money. Thank you and also those who financially supported the publishing of the book.Since we started reading Money alongside the Luke 12 sermons, perhaps the most encouraging response of all is that hearts appear to be changing: The number of donors at Mars Hill Church has increased by 30 percent during November, which means more people are participating and cashing in their chips to be all in for Jesus: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also (Luke 12:34). Do you have a Money story? Email us.–Maurice
What a revelation...eye opening, and a reminder of what is truly important and why. Thank you.–Michael
Nearing the "older" category of life’s financial stage, I would love to encourage those in the younger category: these principles work!–Susan
Thank Jesus for Mars Hill Church and the godly pastors that care deeply for their flock. Thank you Pastor Jamie for your willingness to step out in faith with this most needed book. We have been concentrating our daily morning devotions and Bible study around the message of your book and God is doing a wondrous work in our hearts that has us in tears of repentance and tears of joy for His tenacious love and grace for us.–Jim & Joni
Very practical, very biblical, very simple…well done. Thank you for the free book!–Nancy
This week while working with a customer he started sharing his life with me. He’s in a 12-step recovery program and doing well but searching for truth. He told me someone gave him The Shack but it didn’t ring true with him...I grabbed a copy of Money and gave it to him and invited him to come to a church where the real Savior is worshiped. A few days later, he emailed and said he’d been reading the book, likes it, and wants to come to Mars Hill with his wife. Pretty cool.–Roger
