Every quarter or so, the video team here at Mars Hill shoots a new intro video that gets tagged on the beginnings of the sermons, and this month, they debuted the latest intro video for the Luke sermon series. The team has been really into stop-motion ever since John made us a time-lapse rig. In this video, Andy, our resident VFX man, shows us how he and the guys drafted the concept for this intro video, built the set, shot it over 700 stop-motion frames, composited, and scored it. Next up, the managing editor is going to ask them if they can make a gnarly video of her responding to Twitter at-replies and furiously taking semicolons out of people's blog posts.
Move. Frame. Repeat x 700.
