"Models of Santification," Tomorrow, Downtown Seattle campus 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., free

It is our great privilege to announce that tomorrow, Mars Hill Downtown will be hosting Dr. Gerry Breshears for a day of teaching on "Models of Sanctification." Here is a description of what you will study:
God’s command to holiness is clear: "Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord." (Heb 12:14) But how should I do that? Do I just try harder? Do I let go and let God? Drive out demons? Wait for God’s cleansing? Yield to the Spirit’s control? We will evaluate the major models of sanctification, evaluating them against such key passages as Romans 6 and Galatians 5 with the goal of helping you integrate an approach that is biblically strong and practicable.
Dr. Gerry Breshears is a professor of systematic theology and chair of the Division of Biblical and Theological Studies at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. He has also co-written several books with Pastor Mark Driscoll, which includes Vintage JesusVintage Church, and Doctrine: What Christians Should Believe. For more upcoming lectures and seminars, check out the Mars Hill Leadership Program page.
