Tomorrow, Mars Hill campuses will be viewing "Good Friday," a 30-minute film shot by our media department last year at  Universal Studios. The actors and actresses are mostly Mars Hill people, with a few professional actors and actresses. Mars Hill volunteers made all the costumes, and our staff did all the filming, editing, scoring, etc. The script is essentially a word-for-word compilation of the four Gospels accounts of Jesus' death. This year, we released the film as a free download for churches that wish to use it in their Good Friday services. (If you haven't already, you can still download the film here.) Thank you to everyone who gave their time, talents, and tithes for the film's production. To date, the film has been downloaded over 5,000 times by churches, who've indicated a total audience of almost a half million people. It's our prayer that this film has and will be beneficial for pastors and congregations all over the world as we Christians prepare our hearts in a funeral-like fashion to remember our Jesus’ death. We have reports of churches watch it everywhere from Arizona to England to soldiers in Iraq. It's a blessing to offer this film to you all. IMG_3780 This film was paid for by people's generous offerings to the Global Fund. If you downloaded the film, if your church is watching it this year, we'd encourage you to give to this fund as a way to fund this project and others. We will give always give away as much content as our budget allows, so we thank you in advance for your donations to that we can continue to give away content that promotes the name of Jesus. You can give on the Global Fund page or on the regular giving page. *Note: This film is very graphic and not recommended for children under 10 years of age. Please prayerfully consider checking your child into children’s ministry during the time you intend to view the video. Did your church show the Good Friday film? Send us your stories or pictures of how it went.
