Calling all college students! If you are currently in college (undergrad and grad students), we’d love to have you join our U-District church's College Advance this weekend, for a few days away in Yelm, WA, that will be filled with great teaching, opportunities to build community with other college students at Mars Hill, and even a barn dance on Saturday night! For me, the college years were going to be about having as much fun as possible, since the real world was only four short years away. On the other side of "living it up," I was going to buckle down, get out with an engineering degree, and take over the profitable family business. Then after I got established, I’d marry my high school sweetheart and live the American dream, miserably ever after. I say miserably because it hasn’t worked for generations in my family, and I knew it wasn’t going to work for me either—but I didn’t know another way. Thankfully some respectable men took me under their wing my first year of college, taught me the Bible, and began to show me what it was like to walk with Jesus. That's why I'm so excited that I'm now able to do the same for college students here at Mars Hill, and one of the ways we do that is through our College Advance. For the last four years, the College Advance has proven to be a ridiculously fun and transformational weekend in the life of hundreds of college students. Students figure out how to redeem the college years for their joy and Jesus’ glory. Any college student and every college student is welcome to come. You'll be able to make friendships, get plugged into Community Groups, and come back to Seattle with a vision to be a disciple of Jesus and make disciples of Jesus. Oh, and there is the most epic barn dance ever!

Short on funds? Don't let money keep you from coming to the College Advance this year. If you can't afford the price, there are scholarships set aside so you can. Just go to the College Advance and we will cover the cost.
