Mars Hill Sammamish hasn't even launched yet, and they're already adding a second service! To celebrate, Pastor Mark will be preaching live in Sammamish this Sunday at both the 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services. Lunch will be served after the second service. Here's a word from Sammamish Pastor Alex Ghioni on the day and the preaching.
One of the things that initially drew my family and me to Mars Hill Church years ago was the faithful and passionate preaching of the Word of God.
Sunday after Sunday, Pastor Mark Driscoll helps us to see and understand the Scripture’s presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is so important to us at Mars Hill Church because we believe that the gospel is the power of God for salvation. But the Apostle Paul also reminds us of the blessing of having a man who regularly, faithfully, courageously, and joyfully preaches the good news (Rom. 10:14–15, 2 Cor. 2:17, Col. 1:25–26).
It’s this very preaching of the Word that has led to such explosive growth at Mars Hill, and by God’s grace this growth is mostly fueled by men and women coming to know Jesus and being baptized.
Here at Mars Hill Sammamish, we haven’t even officially launched, but God is pouring out his grace in growth as well. Not but a couple weeks ago, attendance was a little over 200 men, women, and children. Already we’re seeing over 600 people each week—and we’re expecting more growth. So we’re launching a second service!
This Sunday, November 27, we’re excited to have Pastor Mark Driscoll preach the Word of God live at Mars Hill Sammamish. His desire to bless our new church comes out of his great love for God and affection for this new Mars Hill Church that Jesus has planted here on the Plateau. He’ll be speaking to celebrate the launch of our second service at both the 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services.
There are many who have only heard Pastor Mark preach
on a podcast or
YouTube. So this is a great opportunity to invite your neighbors, friends, colleagues, and family to join us to hear him in person.
Also, we want to invite you and all your guests to join us for a catered lunch here at the church after the 11:15 service. This promises to be a great day and so we encourage you to make the most of this special opportunity. Come early—we’ll be packed!
Mars Hill Sammamish meets at 120 228th Ave NE, Sammamish, WA, 98074 [map].
