Mars Hill is quickly becoming a more diverse church body. One of the primary aims of the Mars Hill Global Fund is to make materials available so that everyone within the Mars Hill family has the opportunity to continue to learn.
With the recent launch of churches in Orange County and the Rainier Valley (the most ethnically diverse ZIP code in the nation), and the ongoing work at Mars Hill Albuquerque, it’s clear that Spanish-language materials are a priority for our churches. So, very soon, free Spanish Bibles will be available.
Libros, الكتب, & bouquins—oh my!
Along with the Bibles, it seemed crucial for Pastor Mark’s book, Doctrine , which serves as the curriculum for our membership class, to be translated as well. This book will give our Spanish-speaking church family resources to continue growing in their faith and also help them through the membership process.
By God’s grace, our hope is that as Mars Hill becomes increasingly multilingual, we’re able to serve our brothers and sisters with other foreign language translations of Doctrine as the need arises. That translation is expected to be completed by this summer. Additionally, Death by Love, was recently translated to Korean, to be released in April. Farther down the road, Doctrine is slated for translation into Arabic, Amharic, and French, and later German and Korean as well.
Take Freely, Give Freely
Beyond the needs of our own church bodies, our hope is to continue to support underserved churches and the unreached all across the world. Oftentimes, many international missionaries and pastors struggle in finding theologically sound materials in their own native languages. The Mars Hill Global Fund will help to get Mars Hill resources to these Christians, for free.
Many of you around the world already benefit from Mars Hill resources. By giving to the Mars Hill Global Fund, you’ll help to create channels for our brothers and sisters around the world to share their stories so that the rest of the church can celebrate what God is doing throughout the world.
