“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.” Psalm 8:1
Lord, you stand outside of time and space, and knowing that you do brings me awe. Your ways are far outside my understanding, and so much better than I could imagine. You know all things in heaven and earth, and this brings tremendous comfort and joy. You are majestic and you hold all things together by the power of your word through your Son Jesus Christ. You are more amazing than I could ever imagine. I see your glory here on earth and it is everywhere, and that is simply a glimpse of your glory. You truly are majestic and worthy of all my praise.
Your name is truly majestic, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin” (Ex. 34:6–7). How majestic is your name above all in the earth! Thank you for being slow to anger with me. Thank you for your mercy and grace that I feel daily, you are truly majestic. Thank you for your Son Jesus who took away my sin and made me your own. Your glory is beyond my grasp.
Lord, may the glory of your majesty be on my lips all the days of my life. May you plant in my heart the praise of your name. May your Holy Spirit awaken me to how truly awesome you are, even in the midst of everyday life. May my eyes be fixed on you, the author and perfecter of my faith, and may they never waver. May my life be an example in word and deed, witnessing to your glory. You are majestic and altogether worthy of all my praise.
