1. Join Us in Fasting and Prayer
The Mars Hill Everett elders have been praying and fasting weekly that God would give us this building in the heart of downtown Everett for almost a year. We would ask that you join us. We will be fasting on Tuesday’s from sun up to sun down as a Church, begging God to give us this building as a home, and that many people will be saved because we are moving here. James 4:2 says “You do not have, because you do not ask.” So we are asking you to ask with us, so that God might be glorified here in Everett.
2. Join Us on Mission
We want to see people meet Jesus. We want to see people’s lives and this city transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Everett has a population of 103,000 people and about 94,000 of them do not know Jesus. There is a lot of work to do, and by God’s grace we’ll be planting roots to see many of the 94,000 meet Jesus. We believe that this church will be over 3,000 people and, with an auditorium just under 800 seats, we will have the room for everyone who wants to come, and for that we're grateful. We want to glorify our Father who is in heaven in both word and deed so more people may know the saving grace of Jesus.
3. Join Us in Sacrificial Giving
We need $3 million to purchase and renovate this building. This sounds impossible, impossible enough that Jesus is the only one who'll be able to do it. We are asking that people pray and seek God on how much and in what way the Holy Spirit is asking them to give. This will take a sacrifice and yet a sacrifice that we are willing to make so that more people might meet Jesus. We are asking that you follow the Holy Spirit in the role that he asks you to play and trust in him for the rest. The truth is that God doesn’t need our money but rather he invites us in to take part in what he is doing. He does this so we can never say “Look what we did!” but we can say, “Look at all that God has, is and will do!”
