This past Thursday, August 30, is a day that I believe will be remembered for a long time. Historically, Seattle has always had a small percentage of Christians and churches per capita in America. The great Christian movements that swept through USA beginning with the Great Awakening never made it as far as the Great Northwest. Couple that with the recent history of dozens of urban Seattle churches closing their doors and historic buildings getting repurposed for means other than worshiping Jesus, points what we pray will be the significance of August 30 in Seattle history. Mars Hill Downtown Seattle had the privilege to rededicate Seattle's most beautiful, grand, historic sanctuary back to Jesus! For those in attendance, it was clear that God is up to something in our city and we are at the beginning of a unique work of the Holy Spirit. Sunday services will be launched, hopefully, this fall. Please stay tuned and be in prayer. Here are some photos from the Night of Vision and Prayer.
