Jan was a very popular speaker at the Spring 2012 Women's Training Day...More at Mars Hill Ballard, where she encouraged and challenged many of us on the topic of godly parenting.

She is known for her great sense of humor, deep love for Jesus and speaking the truth of the gospel in love as she addresses common struggles and concerns of women as wives, mothers and sisters in Christ. Jan has been married to her husband Lynn for 32 years, and has 4 grown children and 7 grandchildren. She leads Redemption Groups and is a Biblical Counselor at Mars Hill Shoreline.

Every year, we get to welcome a new class of young people into this ministry. We often talk about the Tsunami off-shore...More that is approaching MHS; these are the early waves.

We'll have PIZZA, a time to meet leaders, and some brief vision casting.

What is Baptism?

When Christians are baptized, they fulfill the command of Jesus (Matt. 28:19–20) and are submerged in water to identify with the death of Jesus and rise out of the water to identify with his resurrection (Rom. 6:1–10; Col. 2:12).

This identification with the death, burial, and resurrection through baptism testifies...More to the fact that we believe in faith that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, rose three days later, and now is alive and Lord over all of creation.

Who Should Be Baptized?

If you’ve made a commitment to Jesus, we encourage you to follow Jesus’ command to be baptized as a public profession of your faith in him.

If you haven’t made a commitment to Jesus, you can learn more about him, say a prayer to invite him in your life, and to talk with a Christian friend or a church leader about it. We then invite you to be baptized to make public confession of your faith.
