    Get Baptized!

    Get Baptized!

Sunday, June 09, 2013 at 9:00 am PDT
Mars Hill Church | Downtown Seattle
Sign up here to get baptized on Sunday, June 9th! http://bitly.com/getdunked

Come to the 9am or 11am service and get dunked!

At Mars Hill Downtown Seattle, we believe the Bible presents baptism as an outward witness of an inward faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

Christian baptism is an act of obedience to...More the command of Jesus, declaring the believers faith in and identification with their crucified, buried, and risen Savior. It is a visible declaration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The believer being baptized is immersed beneath the waters in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, which expresses the believers’ death to sin and the burial of their old life, and then emerged out of the water, which expresses the believers’ resurrection to a new kingdom life in Christ Jesus. Furthermore, baptism identifies a Christian with Jesus, the universal church, and the local church.

Jesus commanded that all Christians be baptized. The apostles commanded that all Christians be baptized, which explains why the book of Acts and records of the early church show that baptism was practiced consistently.

We understand baptism to be the sign and seal of membership in the covenant community. Baptism is for all persons as they join the community of the church.
    Baby Dedications

    Baby Dedications

Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 9:00 am PDT
Mars Hill Church | Downtown Seattle
On Father's Day, June 16, we will be celebrating Baby Dedications. If you are interested in dedicating your baby, you can begin the process by signing up here: http://bit.ly/babysignupdts

At Mars Hill Church we don’t baptize babies, but we do celebrate the birth of a new family member as a loving community....More Our desire is to inspire the community as we provide a unique setting for parents to articulate their desire to raise their child in a Godly fashion, so that they come to know and love Jesus. Therefore, we want parents to bring their little ones up on stage, introduce them to the church and encourage the body of Christ to hold them accountable as they embark on this great task of raising Godly children.

We love our Mars Hill DTS families. We pray for you all and we most definitely look forward to celebrating this special day with you on Sunday, June 16.

    It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

    What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

The Mars Hill Guide Leadership at Mars Hill

    We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.

    Cheerful givers wanted

Jesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He gave his life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus.
