Jesus is Alive
The implications of this statement are massive and truly believing them will change everything you think about this world and your purpose in it.
Today, the living Jesus is ruler and King of all, his kingdom is advancing, and the church is central to his mission to seek and save the lost.
The implications of Jesus' resurrection are found in his words to the disciples upon his defeat of death: “Go therefore…”
The mission of Mars Hill Global is to equip the global church to fulfill Christ’s call with teaching, resources, and partnership to preach Jesus to the nations.
Go.
Because Jesus is alive, we go to the nations to proclaim the living Jesus and share the good news of his resurrection and the gift of grace and forgiveness found through his work on the cross. We take Jesus’ command to “go therefore” seriously.
In times past, this was accomplished through sending missionaries, following the call of Christ to physically go to all nations. While missions are still a vital and important ministry of the church, today, with the gift of technology, we can also go to the nations through the Internet, video, books, and more.
As a church, Mars Hill seeks to steward well the resources and influence given to us by God in grace. We do this through support of missionaries, partnering with local churches, and through a significant digital platform.
Preach.
At Mars Hill, we’re all about Jesus. We believe that salvation is found only through faith in his work on the cross and his resurrection and defeat of Satan, sin, and death. The Bible is about Jesus. And we will all bow before King Jesus—in this life or the one to come.
Because of this, we preach Jesus out of love for people and out of deep conviction that Jesus is the only hope for this broken world. We want all nations to know of the love of Jesus for them and the freedom that comes from faith in him.
We also strive to help equip the local church around the globe to preach Jesus through books, websites (Mars Hill, Resurgence, Pastor Mark, Acts 29), music, sermons, and campaigns.
Serve.
Ultimately, our desire is to serve local churches by giving away as many resources for free as possible. The tools and resources provided by Mars Hill Global are generously supported by Mars Hill Church members and friends from around the world.
Here are a few stats:
- Over 10 million sermons are downloaded each year
- Over 6 million people visit the Resurgence each year
- Over 3 million people visit Mars Hill’s website
- Over 3 million people visit Pastor Mark’s website
- Hundreds of local, autonomous churches have been planted through Acts 29, with hundreds more in the process
- Over 2,000 churches have signed up for campaigns for free access to hundreds of pages of sermon research, notes, guides, and marketing materials
We do this for two reasons: we love God and we love people. And the best way to help glorify God and serve people is to help train leaders and get as many free resources into the hands of local church leaders as possible.
Ultimately, we want people to meet Jesus and to help local churches however we can.
