Content Coordinator
Mars Hill Church’s mission is to plant churches and make disciples. Begun in 1996, Mars Hill Church is now widely regarded as one of the most innovative churches in the world, in large part because of the amount of free content we publish. The Communications department helps direct the air war, the most visible ministries of the church that reach the largest audience through websites, publications, blogs, social media, public relations and the media library. We are currently looking for a content coordinator to help support the Acts 29 Network by gathering, organizing and scheduling content, including coordinating between writers, design team and other stakeholders.

You enjoy talking with many people in a day. You are able to shepherd those relationships well and follow up consistently. You excel with juggling multiple projects with many variables. You are able to think about how people consume content. You are creative and discerning. You love Jesus and want to see others love him too. You are a adaptable under a variety of conditions with many stake holders. You need to have a pulse for what people need to read. People often say that you are highly trustworthy.
Qualifications:
- Fulfill the duties required of Mars Hill Church members as outlined in the membership covenant.
- Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures.
- Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Experience in jobs focusing on customer service.
- Ability to discern proper content for the vision.
- Steady and reliable work ethic and personality.
- Ability to keep things on schedule in the midst of changes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic theology - you don’t need an MDiv, but you should know your bible.
- Proven trustworthiness.
If you were working for us, some of the things you would have done for us last week:
- Set up a content plan for upcoming projects or themes.
- Developed article concepts.
- Contacted 20 pastors about writing articles for the Acts 29 website.
- Worked with authors to ensure quality content is delivered on time.
- Reviewed articles to assure they comply with our guidelines.
- Work with design team to get headers for blogs.
- Work with supervisors to get direction and re-direct course if needed.
- Make sure content scheduling is aligned with the Acts 29 message and direction.
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: 40+ hours per week
Location: Central Offices | Seattle WA (Ballard)
Vacation: Two weeks floating vacation plus one week at Christmas
