Real Estate Analyst

The Development Group at Mars Hill Church is looking for a real estate analyst to support, develop and execute the growth strategy of the church.

The Development Group serves the mission of Mars Hill Church by partnering in the planting of new Mars Hill Church locations and leading a variety of other capital initiatives. We oversee these developments through real estate, design, construction, production technology, and portable systems. We get a front row seat to see Jesus build his church and by God’s grace, there are many exciting opportunities at hand and ahead.

ROLE SUMMARY

Associate level position working as part of the Development Group assisting the Real Estate Director with his executive and project work. This role will also provide administrative support to the team as a whole. Broadly this will include: drafting and coordinating request for proposals, organizing and databasing leasing and purchase contracts and renewals, administrating our growing portfolio of projects and proposals, managing our media and web content initiatives, scheduling and communicating needs related to the team, and providing hospitality and note-taking support for meetings.

  • Educated with a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Real Estate, Finance, or Business with 2-5 years work experience.

YOU KNOW

  • How to draft and review a request for proposal.
  • How to measure the cash flow from an income property and calculate its internal rate of return.
  • How to effectively negotiate a deal and communicate with people inside or outside your organization.
  • Juggle more than one competing assignment with tight deadlines.
  • What a set of real estate plans looks like.
  • Mac OSX and Windows operating system environments.
  • More than a little about Microsoft Office, Apple iWork and AutoCAD.

YOU WILL BE

  • Supporting, developing and executing the real estate strategy for church growth.
  • Assisting the leasing and acquisition of new churches.
  • Drafting, reviewing and coordinating request for proposals for the Development Group.
  • Writing, editing, and adapting Development Group content for both internal and external publication including reporting.
  • Providing essential administrative support for the Real Estate Director and the Development Group.
  • Reconciling corporate credit card statements monthly.
  • Assisting with calendar and email administration, including developing travel itineraries for business trips.
  • Managing key contacts, resources, subscriptions, and other data.
  • Coordinating hospitality needs and attending meetings for note taking, as needed.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, plus on call as required
Hours: 45+ per week (must be available for misc. special events, church meetings, etc. as needed)
Location: Seattle, WA (Ballard) | Central Offices
Vacation: Two weeks floating vacation plus one week at Christmas
