IT MANAGER
The Technology Department is looking for an IT Manager to oversee daily operations across the Mars Hill network of churches. Mars Hill’s mission is to plant churches and make disciples and we are regarded as one of the most innovative and fastest growing churches because of the way we aggressively approach both ministry and technology. We seek to utilize technology in creative and inventive ways that will serve to facilitate the expansion of Mars Hill to thousands of worshipers of Jesus in the coming years. ROLE SUMMARY
The IT Manager will report to the Director of Technology and needs to be a strategic leader who invests in and leads the IT vision, procedures and the staff of the department. The IT Manager will provide insight on IT functionality enhancing and advancing the strategic plan objectives with technologies that are appropriate, cost effective and current to meet the objectives and needs of the church.
QUALIFICATIONS

Fulfill the duties required of Mars Hill Church members as outlined in the membership covenant.

Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures.

Strong leader who is able to shepherd and disciple others, communicate effectively with others, and effectively lead teams.

Knowledge and experience in Information Technology areas including policies and procedures, networks, cloud computing, hardware/software solutions, centralized and distributed models, unified communications, video conference, vendor relationships, disaster recover, physical security and environmental controls, and IT internal controls.

Experience with Mac OSX and Windows operating system environments.

Strong interpersonal, organizational and project management skills with discernment and sound judgement.

Able to anticipate change and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the MHC Information Technology department while supporting the dynamic needs of the church.

Evaluate current technology needs of the organization (technologies, personnel, tools), identify industry tools and trends, develop an IT strategic plan that aligns with the strategy and vision of the executive elders, and implement the plan.

Lead the creation of IT policies and procedures for both the IT department and for the organization (churches, central operations, and end users).

Lead, supervise and train IT staff to resource and deliver customer focused IT to all areas of the church.

Provide system stability and integrity and ensure that all IT systems are functioning smoothly for the employees, members and partners of MHC with world-class uptime and continuous communication.

Work collaboratively with all operational departments and church leaders to analyze and support current needs and anticipate future needs of/from IT.

Coordinate directly with the purchasing department in Finance to ensure all IT assets, both central and distributed, are procured in an efficient and timely manner, while leading the way in IT vendor management.

Consult with the legal department in order to develop systems and controls that ensure data integrity and privacy in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Provide a system and network that is secure to prevent unauthorized access to IT resources, and coordinate with security professionals, trends, and technology vendors to support this objective.

Develop, maintain and test disaster recovery plans which includes data retention and backup/recovery strategies.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, on call as required
Hours: Full Time, exempt
