ASSISTANT TO MEDIA DIRECTOR
Mars Hill Church’s mission is to plant churches and make disciples. Begun in 1996, Mars Hill Church is now widely regarded as one of the most innovative churches in the world, in large part because of the amount of free content we publish. The Creative Department functions as the primary steward of the Mars Hill brand. Its mission includes developing, creating and distributing sermons, teaching sessions and other content through a variety of internal and external distribution channels. It is a growing department which is in need of additional administrative support. This position requires a high level of trust and responsibility. The candidate will be doing a wide range of tasks ranging from the simple to the complex.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Media Department director is a senior advocate for the protection and advancement of the Mars Hill brand, which is telling Jesus’ story above all else and executing the vision of the Elders. The assistant will be responsible for protecting the director’s priorities, time, schedule and resources so that he can maintain the initiative. The candidate must be able to function effectively in an ever-changing environment and often with little direction as well as work as a viable part of a team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule appointments, meetings, teaching engagements, events, phone conferences, etc.
- Manage director’s calendar, contacts and technology needs.
- Coordinate logistics and hospitality for meetings and events.
- Practical support to the director and production team during productions.
- Maintain clean and organized office and meeting spaces.
- Responsible for agendas, documents/handouts, and minutes for various meetings.
- Maintain accurate accounts and expenses in budget documents; complete monthly credit card reconciliation.
- Various errands and miscellaneous tasks as needed.
- Complete minor research on various projects.
- Protect blocked out study and home office times.
- Book travel arrangements for off-site meetings, and other travel and provide comprehensive itineraries.
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Central Offices | Seattle WA (Ballard)
Vacation: Two weeks floating vacation plus one week at Christmas
