Music Marketing Coordinator
Mars Hill Church’s mission is to plant churches and make disciples. Begun in 1996, Mars Hill Church is now widely regarded as one of the most innovative churches in the world, in large part because of the amount of free content we publish. The Communications department helps direct the air war, the most visible ministries of the church that reach the largest audience through websites, publications, blogs, social media, public relations and the media library. We are currently looking for someone to coordinate our marketing and social media for Mars Hill music and bands.

You love Jesus and want to see others love him too. You are adaptable to work under a variety of conditions with many stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Fulfill the duties required of Mars Hill Church members as outlined in the membership covenant.
- Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures.
- Bachelors in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Experience in music marketing industry.
- Additional experience with marketing and social media preferred.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Ability to handle large amounts of emails and to reply promptly.
If you were working for us, some of the things you would have done for us last week:
- Managed and maintained Mars Hill Music media page.
- Managed Facebook/Twitter/Social Media accounts for key Mars Hill bands.
- Set up a marketing plan for music releases.
- Coordinated videos with Mars Hill Music.
- Created content for bands, blogs, photos, videos, and schedule for release.
- Created and published give-aways for online promotion.
- Reviewed progress of all current music projects. Written out risks and communicated this with manager.
- Written a review document for the release of the most recent EP with an analysis of strengths, weakness, and recommended improvements.
- Worked with volunteers to delegate tasks and responsibilities.
Here are some additional things you might do:
- Travel to festivals or conferences where Mars Hill bands play.
- Hold meetings with managers to propose a marketing strategy for next album release.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; travel required
Hours: 40+ hours per week
Location: Central Offices | Seattle WA (Ballard)
Vacation: Two weeks floating vacation plus one week at Christmas
