Production Manager - Ballard
Mars Hill Church’s mission is to plant churches and make disciples. Mars Hill Ballard is our largest church and currently has over 3000 people in attendance over four services. We are looking for a production manager to oversee the Sunday production team and all components of production technology at Mars Hill Ballard.
ROLE SUMMARY
The production manager will report to the executive pastor of Mars Hill Ballard. The top priority for this position is to ensure a smooth and effective Sunday service experience. The production manager will also be responsible for recruiting and overseeing volunteers and for auditing and maintaining gear for Ballard production department.

- Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures.
- Production technology experience and understanding of aspects for a successful worship experience.
- Strong leadership skills for recruiting, training and investing in volunteers.
- Excellent organization skills with strengths in systems building.
KEY OBJECTIVES
- Lead the Production Team in the coordination of Sunday services and events at MH Ballard.
- Learn valuable leadership skills for life and service at Mars Hill.
- Develop knowledge of production technologies as a resource to Mars Hill Church.
- Learn to train leaders who can train leaders.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure smooth, effective Sunday service; work directly with executive pastor to determine service order consistent with vision of MH Ballard, including every element provided by Media and Communications.
- Troubleshoot with Media and Communications when circumstances such as sermon doesn't play, pre-post doesn't work with the service order, etc.
- Confirm sermon is delivered by Wednesday each week and review immediately. Contact Media and Communications with any issues.
- Audit and maintain gear and fix problems when they arise, contact central Production Technology department as needed.
- Coordinate with central Production Technology department.
- Follow Production Manager Network on The City to stay informed on items such as information on special sermons, special events, changes in distribution, and everything else relating to this position.
- Fulfill accountability role for all productions for Sunday services and events.
- Learn the basics of production technology for teaching and troubleshooting.
- Manage or assist in managing special events (weddings, conferences, campus events).
- Deacon training is required and specific productions oriented trainings may be offered as needed.
- Volunteer recruitment and leadership:
- Manage volunteer scheduling for MH Ballard services and events.
- Recruit, approve, train and oversee volunteers.
- Facilitate community between volunteers and provide spiritual leadership.
- Complete various other assigned readings and projects if necessary.
Schedule: Sunday - Friday, schedule and hours will vary due to responsibilities and special events.
Hours: 40+ hours per week
Location: Seattle WA (Ballard)
Vacation: Two weeks floating vacation plus one week at Christmas
