Video Conferencing Manager
Mars Hill Church’s mission is to plant churches and make disciples. We seek to utilize technology in creative and inventive ways that will serve to facilitate the expansion of Mars Hill to 25,000 worshipers of Jesus in the coming years. Our Technology Department is looking for a Video Conferencing (VC) Manager. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing top-notch service, takes initiative, and embraces change.
ROLE SUMMARY
This position will report the IT Manager and be responsible for the implementation and administration of the video conferencing system. The VC manager will collaborate with and support video conferencing users.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Fulfill the duties required of Mars Hill Church members as outlined in the membership covenant.
- Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures.
- Bachelors Degree/Diploma in an Information Technology discipline, Broadcast Engineering or related field
- 2 year of experience in video conferencing support
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- Experience with operation and support of Polycom video conference systems such as the HDX-7000 and CMA client.
- Experience with operation and support of Polycom video infrastructure components such as the RMX bridge, VBP 5300, CMA 4000 and RSS 4000.
- Basic knowledge of network architecture and roles that the different network components play in delivery of communication services.
- Basic understanding of network troubleshooting tools and methods.
- Experience in creating and distributing written communications in an operations environment.
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing end-user documentation.
- Ability to closely adhere to operational processes and technical standards.
- Experience supporting executive leadership.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational troubleshooting activities for VC room systems and infrastructure components.
- Operational troubleshooting activities for mobile VC clients including MacBooks, iPads and iPhones.
- Perform troubleshooting of meeting connection and quality issues during live video conference meetings.
- Perform testing for installation of new video conference installations.
- Monitor complex and high visibility meetings.
- Assist with testing of new code releases and post-upgrade testing.
- Perform routine administration of Exchange mailboxes associated with video conference rooms.
- Assist in implementation of new video collaboration capabilities and offerings.
- Execute scheduled operational processes.
- Assist in maintenance contract tracking processes.
- Respond to support requests received via trouble ticketing system, e-mail, or SMS alert during normal and assigned on-call shifts.
- Implement changes, perform maintenance, and resolve incidents out of business hours as necessary.
- Open support tickets with vendors with appropriate and detailed problem descriptions and supporting info.
- Coordinate and work collaboratively with other support tiers to resolve operational incidents
- Provide data for operational performance and capacity reports for video conferencing infrastructure utilization
- Create and maintain current system environment documentation.
Schedule: Monday - Friday and on-call as required.
Hours: 40+ hours per week
Location: Central Offices | Seattle, WA (Ballard)
Vacation: Two weeks floating vacation plus one week at Christmas
