Painting Project THIS WEEKEND - We Need Your Help!

Mars Hill Church | Rainier Valley
    THE PROJECT

As you know, some of the paint on the walls of the UGM is a little, well, ugly. You also know that in life, you only get one shot at making a great first impression. At Mars Hill Rainier Valley, we want to make the best impression we possibly can...More for our first-time guests.

And there is good news, family! We have finally received authorization to do some painting — and we’re scheduling it for this weekend (we want to have it done before we launch our next Fall sermon series). The main priority of this project will be to paint the walls of the hallway, and the breezeway (the room between the hallway and the lobby).

The UGM has asked that the painting volunteers for this project must be skilled/professional painters. However, if you’re not a pro, but you still want to come and help, we’ll have something for you to do — please come! Also, if you want to donate food or drinks for the workers on Saturday, please email rnv@marshill.com about that as well.

    WHAT TIME?

Please plan to come on Friday evening for prepping walls and some painting. Show up around 5:00 PM or so (or whenever you can be here). We’ll have pizza and pop for you.

We’ll meet up again on Saturday morning (around 9:00 AM) and push through on Saturday and get as much done as we possibly can.

Thank you for prayerfully considering serving your church in this way – what a blessing it is to love God and love people in practical ways.

    Baptisms - Sunday, September 7th

    Baptisms - Sunday, September 7th

Sign up to be baptized on Sunday, September 7th!

    Baptism Registration: https://mhcseattlewa.wufoo.com/forms/rnv-baptism-sign-up/

    What is Baptism?

When Christians are baptized, they fulfill the command of Jesus (Matt. 28:19–20) and are submerged in water to identify with the death of Jesus and rise out of the water to identify with his resurrection (Rom. 6:1–10; Col. 2:12).

This...More identification with the death, burial, and resurrection through baptism testifies to the fact that we believe in faith that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, rose three days later, and now is alive and Lord over all of creation.

    Who Should Be Baptized?

If you’ve made a commitment to Jesus, we encourage you to follow Jesus’ command to be baptized as a public profession of your faith in him.

If you haven’t made a commitment to Jesus, you can learn more about him, say a prayer to invite him in your life, and to talk with a Christian friend or a church leader about it. We then invite you to be baptized to make public confession of your faith.

    It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

    What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

The Mars Hill Guide Leadership at Mars Hill

    We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.

    Cheerful givers wanted

Jesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He gave his life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus.
